The past couple of weeks have been very busy – much busier than I expected – but filled with exciting things to come. While it’s been a colder week in Paris we’ve been lucky to have days with a brilliant blue sky, which is always a welcome treat in January. Boomer decided to start taking in the view this week and now puts his front paws up on the bridges as we cross. It’s pretty adorable. We have a fun dinner with friends planned tonight and otherwise are enjoying a quiet weekend. This week felt like a short one after getting back from Courchevel on Monday afternoon. We had the absolute best time skiing, eating, dancing, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. I’ll be sharing a recap of our time with members – so if you’re interested in learning more be sure to sign up here. This weekend we are taking it very easy for the first time since really November. I literally cannot wait. This weekend we are in the Alps for a long weekend of skiing. I have to admit, I thought I’d never ski again after an accident when I was younger, but I suppose it’s a lesson in never saying never. Romain adores skiing and it’s a very popular winter activity in France so I figured it’s time to get on board. One of my very favorite parts about living in France is we can get on a train and be practically anywhere in the country in about four hours. There really is so much to see and do here, and if you’re planning on visiting I would love to help you plan your trip. I can’t believe it’s New Year’s Eve. 2022 was truly incredible and I’m not sure how 2023 can top it, but I’m looking forward to it. Thank you all for all of your support and for following along whether here or on Instagram. A highlight of the year was getting to meet some of you in real life in Paris through walks and having the opportunity to plan your trips to France. This past week was quiet, which was a perfect way to end the year. Weekend Links is a bit special this week as I’m publishing it in 2022 but a lot of people will read it in 2023, hence the week 53 and week one combo! It snuck up on me, and I really can’t believe that Christmas is already here. December flew by as I stayed probably a little too busy, but I’m looking forward to a slower and relaxed pace for the next few weeks. I’m getting a jump start on Weekend Links Week 52 (for once) so that I can leave my laptop shut and just enjoy the next few days with family – from my side and from Romain’s side. We’re hosting Christmas Eve at home and it will of course be a mix of French and American traditions followed by a traditional French Christmas day.
