June 2023 Recap

June seemed to fly by as we were eagerly counting down the days until our summer trip to the US. It was a warmer month and I fully expected it meant we were going to have a hot (aka miserable) summer in Paris, but as it turns out July feels more like October. We spent most of the month trying to stay cool whether inside with air-conditioning or with ice creams outside. The last day of the month brought some very valuable travel lessons. April in Paris really does live up to the hype. After what seemed like an incredibly long winter, we were ready to get out and enjoy spring. We went to a lot of new restaurants, some new, some old, and others that we revisited after a long pause. There was one new restaurant that particularly stood out, and that we haven’t stopped talking about nearly two months later. Milder temperatures helped me get back into my weekend brocante swing.
