The reward of making it until the end of February in Paris is always the start of the flowers. Once the magnolias show up I feel like I can say we’ve made it. Although it feels like we just moved, we’re moving again – later this week! I’m excited, but it’s of course bittersweet leaving an apartment that we absolutely adore. It’s the apartment that we brought both of our babies home to and it’s perfect in a lot of ways. But unfortunately the owner wants to sell. This will be our first Paris apartment as a family that’s non-meublé, which means we get to have (and get to purchase!) all of our own furniture and appliances.

While January always feels like an extra long month for multiple reasons, this year my brother saved us all with a mid-month visit. We of course went to our all time favorite spots but also tried new restaurants that did not disappoint. We also had two snow days where the snow actually accumulated which is very rare in Paris, and it was stunning. I made a TikTok for the first time in three years to document it. We returned to Paris after Thanksgiving in the US a little bit later than expected because our baby got sick and couldn’t fly. This is our second trip of the year that we’ve had to change last minute and I’m so grateful that we have travel insurance.
