Four Photos from Our Wedding on Our Fourth Anniversary

Today is our Fourth Anniversary which is a very big deal because I can officially apply for French Citizenship. I passed the language test and now I’m just waiting waiting on recent copies of my sons’ birth certificates (whoops should’ve ordered those earlier) and I’ll mail off the application. To celebrate I’m sharing four (five actually – Boomer is a placeholder but of course he was present) photos from our wedding shot by friends and family.

Getting ready with my mom. I insisted on starting my hair and makeup as late as possible so we really didn’t have a ton of time for photos which is a small regret but I love the photos we did get.

About to hop into the taxi to head to the church, which felt like a very Paris moment. Of course everyone was staring at me because it’s not exactly an every day sight.

We were last ones to walk from cocktails to dinner and were alone, photos were mostly done, and I had my margarita. Those moments where Romain and I were just together are some of my favorites from the night.

At our spots for dinner. We were obsessed with the food we chose (lamb and sole) and because we were the bride and groom we got to have both.

My mom gives us a Day by Day calendar every year and this morning when I switched it the quote was “a successful marriage is not a gift; it is an achievement” – Ann Landers.
