With a Wednesday holiday this week has felt like a series of Mondays and Fridays. It made the week go by quickly, but I’m also ready for a “normal” routine. Five Friday Finds from France features a bit from my first Fête Nationale in Paris, the incredible Ducasse-sur-Seine dinner cruise in Paris, significant news regarding vaccinations in France and more.
Weekend Links: Week 28
After a busier than normal (and very fun) week, I’m looking forward to a leisurely weekend at home hopefully filled with lots of cooking. Weekend Links Week 28 features a lot of articles to recap the Fall 2021 Couture shows in Paris, a few French-inspired recipes perfect for summer, plenty of France travel inspiration and more. I hope you enjoy!
Five Friday Finds from France: July 9th
I think having something to look forward to always makes time go by faster, and I’ve been looking forward to this week for quite some time. I finally get my second vaccine this weekend and my world will really begin to reopen. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features the Samaritaine: Paris Pont-Neuf book, where to find excellent tomatoes at the Marché des Sablons in Neuilly, an exciting update from my favorite florist in Paris and more.
Weekend Links: Week 27
While it’s not a holiday weekend in France I’m definitely pretending that it is one. I’ve decorated my window boxes with all sorts of red, white and blue. Hopefully my French neighbors don’t mind since we share the same colors after all, although I did take inspiration from Clark W. Griswold. I have a fun weekend planned which will culminate with some of my favorite American foods on the Fourth of July. My favorites from Weekend Links Week 27 include 10 inspiring quotes from The Little Prince, looking back on 60 years of Diptyque, a piece on why the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc still fascinates today, and a very good Paris guide. Enjoy!
Five Friday Finds from France: July 2nd
A few weeks ago I finally switched everything in my closet from fall/winter to spring/summer because the weather has been so temperamental. I decided to leave one heavier coat out, just in case, and ended up using it this week. It definitely doesn’t feel like summer in Paris, although I’ll take these temperatures over heat any day. Five Friday Finds from France features a few things from Normandy like the new Dior en Roses exhibit at Musée Christian Dior Granville as well as some glimpses of summer in Paris, despite the temperatures, like the Fête des Tuileries 2021 and La French Seltzer by Setsun.
