I’ve been looking forward to the weekend all week for several reasons, one of the main reasons being the weather is so lovely. All I want to do is sit outside and do absolutely nothing. It’s cooled off a little (and there’s a chance of snow on Tuesday) but there’s still plenty of sun. I hope you enjoy Weekend Links Week 14 – some of my favorites include how to access the Louvre’s entire collection online for free, an article on beautiful tissue books that started as a pandemic creation, the story of French monks selling more than two tons of “lockdown cheese” in 24 hours, and the prettiest towns in Provence to name a few.
Weekend Links: Week 14
France’s Lockdown Vice? Cheese. Is this a lockdown vice or just life in France?
Desirable du Jour: Tissue Books. These are so cool!
Musée d’Orsay to Change Name in Honor of Former French President. I think I’ll probably still call it Musée d’Orsay…
I’m Forever in Debt to Paris: Finding Peace at Brasserie Lipp. An excerpt from the new À Table in Paris book. A great read for anyone who loves Brasserie Lipp or Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
Vue sur Jardin. A beautiful Paris apartment tour.
Provence Glory: Assouline’s Beguiling, Visual Celebration of the French Region. Assouline is really on their game – along with Paris Chic I think Provence Glory will be another absolute must-have book for Francophiles.
See How the Coolest Parisians Really Live. Definitely cooler than how I’m living but major inspiration!
Novel-Turned-Film French Exit Travels All the Way to Paris on its Quirky Charm. This is the best review I’ve seen so far but I’m still definitely going to watch it.
Lesley Manville & Isabelle Huppert Team Up For a Film About Dior Obsession. I’m very excited about this film!
Photos of Chateau de Villette. It’s a stunner.
I hope you enjoyed week 14 of Weekend Links! I’d love to hear which articles about France were your favorites. Feel free to send me an email or leave a comment below. Bon week-end à tous et à toutes!
