Here’s my review and results of the August in Paris Bucket List that I made as a way to see and do things in Paris that I’ve never done before. August can generally be a slower month in Paris, so it ended up being the perfect time to capitalize on the “emptiness” of the city.
Views of Paris: Climbing the Eiffel Tower
Climbing the Eiffel Tower to see the views of Paris is one of those things I’ve felt guilty about not doing for a long time. So finally, ten years after my first visit to the Eiffel Tower, I went up.
Nuit aux Invalides
Last night, in the pouring rain, we went to La Nuit aux Invalides. I can’t remember where I read about the sound and light show, but it caught my eye. The theme of the projections is “3000 Years of Stories” and it was absolutely stunning from start to finish.
Views of Paris: Tour Saint-Jacques
The first time I saw the Tour Saint-Jacques was on a random walk around Paris in October 2012. I snapped a few photos and kept going because the park surrounding the tower was closed. I honestly forgot about the Tour Saint-Jacques until several years later when I read about it for having some of the best views of Paris.
August in Paris Bucket List
Tomorrow marks the beginning of August in Paris, and it’s a time where most Parisiens head out of the city. Lots of places close. For the entire month. It can be frustrating, but it’s also nice to have the city seemingly empty. I decided to use this month to cross a few things off my “Paris Bucket List.”
