As the end of summer is sadly approaching, I’m looking back on the second part of my solo vacation in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. I spent one perfect night at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat with its Club Dauphin and it was nothing short of perfection.
After my first night in Èze, I went to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. I arrived at the fabulous Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat before lunch so my room wasn’t ready yet. This wasn’t a problem at all as I left my bags with the front desk and went directly to Club Dauphin.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat Gardens and Club Dauphin
There’s an elevator that takes you from the ground floor to Club Dauphin and the beach, but I opted for the stairs. I couldn’t resist the scenic route through the beautiful garden with the birds singing in the background. Paradise really is the only way to describe it.

When I arrived, I chose my chair and settled in very easily to say the least.
I ate a delicious lunch overlooking the pool: burrata and heirloom tomatoes to start followed by simple fresh fish. I of course had to sample the cocktail of the day and check out their margaritas. Both passed my test with flying colors.

I spent the afternoon soaking up my time by the pool. Not surprisingly, the service at Club Dauphin is incredible and it’s truly hard to beat the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat setting. It almost feels like being on your own island. They let me know that my room was ready so I went upstairs to check it out. More on the room in a bit!
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Port
As stunning as the hotel grounds are, I always like to see and do as much as possible when I’m traveling. I took a little afternoon adventure and went to the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat port.

The port is lively with restaurants, shops, and a magnificent view of oceans and mountains. You really get a wonderful perspective of the mountains meeting the sea from the port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. I picked up a little rosé and headed back to my room to enjoy the views.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat

My room felt like something out of a fairytale. All of the windows opened onto a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. I would’ve been pleased with the balcony alone, but then I saw the terrasse. In that moment I made dinner plans with myself – room service on the terrasse.

The terrasse really had the best-of-both-worlds views: the sea and the gardens. The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat truly is paradise.
My Final Day in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
I woke up early and went on a walk into Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The hotel is connected to a path leading right into town along the water. I decided to go left on my walk towards Paloma Beach.

When I got back to the hotel I stopped at Club Dauphin again. It was pretty seeing it in a different light. Even in my workout clothes, the staff recognized me and greeted me by name. I was super impressed but at this point not surprised because the entire experience had been wonderful.
It was a perfectly beautiful day and I didn’t feel quite ready to go back to Paris, so I called Air France and changed my flight. I had to check out of my room, but spent the rest of the day and afternoon at Club Dauphin. I alternated swimming in the ocean and the pool all while soaking in the incredible views.
Because I checked out of my room, I used the Spa to shower off before heading to Nice and the airport. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat are truly a dream!
