As the end of summer is sadly approaching, I’m looking back on the second part of my solo vacation in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. I spent one magical night at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat with its Club Dauphin and it was nothing short of perfection.
After my first night in Èze, I went to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. I arrived at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat before lunch so my room wasn’t ready yet. I left my bags at the front desk and went directly to Club Dauphin.
Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat Gardens and Club Dauphin
An elevator takes you from the ground floor to Club Dauphin and the beach, but I opted for the stairs. It was a total sensory overload between the chirping birds, the stunning gardens, and the sweet smell of flowers.

When I arrived, I chose my chair and settled in very easily. Lunch overlooking the pool was perfect. I had burrata and heirloom tomatoes to start followed by simple fresh fish and a margarita, of course.
I waited for my room to be ready by the pool. Not surprisingly, the service and the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat setting were both impeccable. After freshening up, I went into town and the port.
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Port

As stunning as the hotel grounds are, I always like to see and do as much as possible when I’m traveling, so I left the resort for a bit for the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat port.
The port is charming and lively with restaurants, shops, and a magnificent view of oceans and mountains. I wanted to stay in town and have dinner, but my phone battery was low and I was nervous that I might not be able to get an Uber back to the hotel.

I wanted to have a super casual dinner so I could wake up the next morning and maximize my time, so I decided to get some rosé (Domaines Ott, my favorite) and head back to the hotel to have room service.
Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat

I used credit card points to book this trip to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Because it was a “free” vacation, I decided to spoil myself with the room type.
My room was beyond amazing. It had balconies along the front and a view of the ocean. The terrasse was the size of my apartment in Paris. Needless to say, the terrasse was the deciding factor in my room service dinner.
I channeled my best Kevin McAllister in Home Alone 2 and ordered a pepperoni pizza, just for me. I put on the super comfy hotel room robe and enjoyed my pizza on the terrasse with some rosé as I looked at the ocean. That moment came pretty close to perfection for me.
My Final Day in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
I woke up early and went on a walk into Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The hotel is connected to a path leading right into town along the water. I decided to go left on my walk towards Paloma Beach.

When I got back to the hotel I stopped at Club Dauphin again. Even in my workout clothes the staff recognized me and addressed me by name (this happened the whole time I was there…I don’t know how they do it).
It was a perfectly beautiful day, so I called Air France and pushed my flight back. I spent the rest of the day and afternoon at Club Dauphin. I alternated swimming in the ocean and the pool all while soaking up the incredible views.
Because I checked out of my room, I used the Spa to shower off before heading to Nice and the airport. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the Grand-Hotel-du-Cap are truly a dream!
