Seeing the Ritz Paris Christmas Tree is something I’ve really come to look forward to every year, but especially in 2020. Being inside the hotel is a special experience no matter what time of year, but there’s just something about it during the holidays that is absolutely magical. Floral designer Anne Vitchen really outdid herself with the tree this year.
The Ritz started teasing the 2020 tree on Instagram a few days in advance with photos of Anne Vitchen’s creations from years past. Gorgeous trees decked out in blue, red, and gold. Perfectly elegant and warm trees – exactly what a vision of the perfect tree looks like in your mind.
I was of course dying to know what this year’s tree would look like. When I saw that it was flocked I squealed with excitement.
The first time I remember seeing a white flocked tree was at my grandmother’s house. Ever since I’ve had a special place in my heart for a white flocked tree. Before moving to Paris I loved having white flocked trees for Christmas. I would’ve loved to continue the tradition in Paris, however the flocked trees I see here are usually a bit smaller than I’d like. The Ritz Christmas tree does not fall into that category.

The tree is even more beautiful in person than I could’ve imagined. It’s decorated with gorgeous gold and cream bows, silver ribbons, and an assortment of gold, cream, and silver ornaments.
Every decoration is perfectly placed. Every inch and possible angle of the tree is covered. I’m not sure how Anne will possibly top this tree next year, although I’m sure she’ll somehow manage.
Seeing the Ritz Paris Christmas tree brought me so much joy, and I hope it does the same for you!
