Happy September! I don’t want to jump the gun on fall, but some leaves are already turning and it’s pretty exciting. It really is one of the prettiest and best times of the year in Paris. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features an interesting new book on Christian Dior’s sister Catherine, Miss Dior: A Story of Courage and Couture, a day trip from Paris to Cabourg in Normandy, an Instagram account to follow with the best French vibes and more!
Five Friday Finds from France: August 27th

I’m so glad it’s finally Friday – this week really seemed to drag along. I watched Gone for Good on Netflix – it’s a French mini series based on a Harlan Coben book and set mostly in Nice. Perfect if you’re looking for a mystery/thriller and to practice French at the same time. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features a set of Paris mini matches, a great fish and seafood cookbook, the new My Place at the Table book and more.
Five Friday Finds from France: August 20th

I’m trying to figure out where time is going and how we’re already nearing the end of August. It feels like we’re already a couple of months into fall after the most bizarre August in Paris that I can remember. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features a book on the Napoleon III Apartments in the Louvre, where to find Texas BBQ in Paris, and believe it or not, the Bonne Maman 2021 Advent Calendar.
Five Friday Finds from France: August 13th

After what felt like an eternity of rain and clouds, summer is finally back in Paris. All week I’ve been planning to spend my Friday outside, hopefully sans laptop. Believe it or not I’m already starting to see signs of fall so I want to take full advantage of the warm weather and sun while it’s here. Five Friday Finds from France features a truly heavenly almond croissant, a Seine-side restaurant near Pont Neuf, how to get a French health pass (very important if you’re coming to France soon!) and more.
Five Friday Finds from France: August 6th
Paris was quiet this week after many people headed out for August vacations. Another round of restaurants and cafés plan to close after this weekend for several weeks so it will only get more quiet. I enjoy August here, although I do find myself wishing I was heading somewhere warm for the month. I’ve actually been wearing a coat this week! Five Friday Finds from France features a Caudalie recycling program with a bonus, an update on my window ledge garden, a new place to buy Ruinart in Paris and more.
