It’s been an incredibly busy but exciting week for me (of course filled with the now normal highs and lows associated with 2020) and I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features some “new to me” Paris discoveries, Molly J. Wilk’s holiday themed virtual pastry classes, Angie Niles’ new Bright Lights Paris print shop, and my new project the Bouquinistes Auction, which I will keep sharing indefinitely, apologies in advance.
Angie Niles’ Bright Lights Paris Print Shop
Angie Niles just launched her Bright Lights Paris print shop and her chic and fun prints will surely have you longing for the city of lights. I especially love the scarf prints but they’re all adorable, including the cheese print. These would make a perfect gift for a friend, sister, mother or any Francophile!
Molly J. Wilk’s Holiday-Themed Virtual Pastry Classes
I’m getting so excited for the holidays and am especially excited to take some virtual pastry classes with Molly, who also happens to be a fellow Texan! I love cooking but haven’t really dabbled into baking at all so I’m so excited to learn from Molly. She’s hosting lots of great holiday-themed classes all from her stunning Versailles apartment. I’m most excited for the multi-day holiday cookie class that I’m taking virtually with my mom, sister, and best friend! You can check out Molly’s virtual class schedule here.
My New Favorite Paris Croissant
Keeping with the theme of yummy French treats, I think I’ve discovered my new favorite croissant in Paris. I’ve been searching for something that can compete with my ultimate favorite from Normandy, and I must say Sebastien Gaudard’s croissant comes close. The outside has a little crisp/crunch/sweet finish and the inside is filled with so many delicious layers. Definitely worth adding to your Paris list just to see what you think!
Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
I cannot believe that yesterday was my first time visiting Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, but I can say for certain that it won’t be my last! It’s so different from any of the other parks and gardens in the Paris area mainly because it’s filled with buttes, which means hills. It’s a little bit “out of the way,” from the center of Paris although still can be accessed very easily. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!
The Bouquinistes Auction
Last night I announced the first Bouquinistes Auction and I am so excited that we are already raising money for the beloved Bouquinistes de Paris. You can read more about the idea behind the Bouquinistes Auction here, and be sure to check out the items and bid here! The first auction goes through this Sunday, November 22nd and all additional revenue generated goes directly back to the bouquinistes.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s Five Friday Finds from France. I’ll be back tomorrow with Weekend Links!
