Weekend Links: Week 24

quai voltaire morning light weekend links week 24

My Saturday coffee while putting together Weekend Links is officially the best of the week. I normally have two espressos every day, but there’s just something about a nearly empty café on a weekend morning, in a very quiet Paris, that always tempts me to linger with an extra espresso. The waiters are writing out the daily specials on the various blackboards and setting the tables for what is sure to be a full Saturday lunch crowd. It’s peaceful. Not to mention, Boomer is on his best behavior, sleeping at my feet instead of searching for stray croissant flakes on the ground. Some of my favorites from Weekend Links Week 24 include an update to Paris’ Wallace Fountains, photos from the 78th anniversary of D-Day, and a list of “rules” for eating and drinking like the French. Enjoy!
