Five Friday Finds from France: November 26th

five friday finds from france le bon marche christmas decorations 2021 featuring olympia le-tan paris clutches

I spent most of my week wishing it was Friday so I am so glad that it’s finally here! This week has been a cold one in Paris, which I suppose is seasonally appropriate but it seems like November isn’t usually this cold. Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone I think everyone can be on the same page that it’s officially the holiday season…even if I was ready to officially be in the spirit in October. This week’s Five Friday Finds from France features several books that I’m coveting, Olympia Le-Tan Paris clutches, sweet Christmas cards with a French twist and more.

A Paris Journal Book

I don’t think it’s possible to have too many books about Paris in your collection, so I’m always on the lookout for more. I came across A Paris Journal at Le Bon Marché and the cover instantly caught my eye. I started flipping through and loved the inside just as much. Jean-Philippe Delhomme writes about and illustrates the “daily joys and frustrations of living in one of the world’s most beloved cities.” It’s the kind of book where you can open to a random page and read a daily journal entry, like this one. The stories paired with the illustrations make it a fun book for a Francophile to have!

Olympia Le-Tan Paris Clutches

Olympia Le-Tan clutches are conversation starters – they’re trompe l’oeil (optical illusion) books and feature the most fabulous embroidery. The clutches are an investment, but it’s so much fun to look at the different designs. Olympia Le-Tan currently has a collaboration with Ladurée which is seriously so much fun. I’m partial to the Raoul Dufy Paris clutch though because it is just so happy.

Hotel Magique Christmas Cards

Who doesn’t love getting something in the mail, especially over the holidays? It’s fun to pick out a perfect card for each person, but it’s also nice to have a few cards that would work for anyone handy. Hotel Magique has two great options with their J’Adore Christmas and Very Merry Christmas cards.

Chanel No. 5: Story of a Perfume Book

I saw this very fabulous Chanel No. 5: Story of a Perfume two-book set in the window of Librairie Galignani and again think it would be such a great gift for anyone who loves fashion. It would look so pretty on a coffee table and I can only imagine the wonderful photos that are inside!

Paris Christmas Sweaters

I posted a photo of these Paris Christmas sweaters and everyone seemed to love them. I tried to see if there was a similar version online, but the closest thing I could find was a PSG Christmas sweater. Maybe there will be some takers!
