Weekend Links: Week 19

weekend links week 19 still seine morning

I apologize for the lack of posting on Instagram. Besides regular work, I had three bonus trips to the Prefecture this week, which are always so enjoyable. Everything seems to be worked out now which is great, because we left for Normandy Thursday evening. It’s always wonderful to be here, and I’m pretty sure given the choice Boomer would never go back to Paris again. Although he would miss all of the bonus treats he gets from his friends at Le Voltaire and Les Antiquaires. Some of my favorites from Weekend Links Week 19 include a look at some stunning Chanel sets, fabulous hotel rooms on the French Riviera and a guide to Antibes. Enjoy!

I can hardly believe April is almost over. It feels like it went by too quickly (and it was also way too chilly). I am very much looking forward to May – there’s only one week the entire month without a bank holiday. It’s going to be great and difficult to readjust to a normal schedule in June! Weekend Links Week 18 is filled with great articles. Some of my favorites include how to shop for antiques in the South of France, a look at Sofia Richie’s stunning wedding on the Côte d’Azur, a look at Château du Champ de Bataille, and an upcoming private island resort in Provence. Enjoy!

This weekend we are celebrating one year with Boomer. It’s hard to believe we picked him up a year ago and how much he’s grown. Now he’s 70 plus pounds of love and we couldn’t imagine life without him. It’s looking pretty rainy for the next few days, but maybe finally towards the end of the week the warmer weather will stick. Some of my favorites from Weekend Links Week 17 include the story behind Karl Lagerfeld’s ponytail, a tour of a French country home in the Loire Valley, and a sweet list of quotes from “The Little Prince.” Enjoy!

Monday was a holiday in France so we were lucky to have a four day week, which made coming back to Paris from Normandy much easier. I caught up on some work and enjoyed some of the beautiful April flowers. Next week it’s really going to start feeling like spring – I’m hoping I can finally retire my winter coat and hat. Some of my favorites from Weekend Links Week 16 include coverage on Vogue’s tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, a “battle” of Brittany versus Normandy, and a guide to Biarritz. Enjoy!

Spring is truly in the air, and it seems that no one wants to miss out on the April in Paris action this year. The lines at museums have been absolutely packed this week, and I have a feeling they will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Planning ahead for a trip to Paris and anywhere in France is more important than ever – feel free to reach out to me for travel planning assistance. We headed out of Paris Thursday night for Normandy for the long Easter weekend, and I’m very much looking forward to leaving my laptop shut. Some of my favorites from Weekend Links Week 15 include a Pierre Hermé and Häagen-Dazs collaboration, a look at a “fairytale” French home, some French-inspired Easter recipes (Romain will be making Pierre Hermé’s Gateau Suzy), and a feature on a gorgeous little-known French island. Enjoy!
