Confinement Week Three in Normandy
The third week of confinement in Normandy was filled with a few more ups and downs than the previous two weeks…which I think is completely normal all things considered. There was a definite shift from feeling like we were temporarily in Normandy to a longer lasting situation. I’ve learned that now more than ever I thrive on routines and a little bit of alone time.

Like the first week, week two of our COVID-19 confinement in Normandy flew by. Or at least looking back it feels like it did. I think the expression “the days are long but the weeks are short” will probably apply to our time here. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a movie, but luckily it’s a comedy.
Confinement Week One in Normandy
While I initially thought the decision to leave Paris was difficult, over the past week it’s become abundantly clear that we made the right choice. As we move from a strict confinement in week one to likely a total confinement in week two, I’m beyond grateful to have the ability to go outside in the sun, catch glimpses of the stunning Normandy beaches, take walks through the garden, and share my Sunday Mexican food tradition with Romain’s family.
Confinement 2.0: Week Two
This lockdown is definitely different from the first. In a lot of ways it seems easier and more familiar – both the surroundings and routine. Tomorrow we’ll be changing it up a bit and going back to Paris which might mean a completely different story. But for now let’s recap Confinement 2.0 week two.

I really thought I was done with the weekly confinement recaps for 2020, but here we are. It’s officially been a week since President Macron announced the reconfinement (second lockdown) due to the second wave of COVID-19.
